Day 8: Things you hope for in 2012.
I want a better year, but most of that involves improving myself. But if you want to get into specifics, I hope to…
- Improve academically. Not just with my GPA, but also with all my academic habits. It’s a scary thought, but there’s only 3 more semesters left of undergrad. Even though I plan on going to grad school & having a career in the higher education field, I still have a lot of improving to do and I need to stop slacking with school. It’ll benefit me now, but also be really beneficial for the future.
- Get more experience so that I’m better prepared for the future. I’m lucky to have experience with three different departments on campus, but it’s important that I keep networking and get as much training as possible.
- Get an internship this summer (for reasons stated above) or at the very least, a job that pays a decent amount (for reasons stated below).
- Save more money and put it toward things that are more important. I don’t spend on myself often, but given my financial situation, saving more money is always better.
- Maintain healthier relationships. I’m getting to the point where I can say that I’m pretty satisfied with the role people play in my life, and I hope to keep these select few in my life.
- Be a better person. There’s a few things I have in life that I don’t deserve, but they’re there anyway.
- Take more action. This year there were too many things I wanted to but never got around to. Too many good ideas that I’ve never gone through with. Hopefully I won’t have as many missed opportunities.
- Stay motivated & inspired.
