I don’t have too many high school friends that follow me on tumblr, but here’s photo of my freshman year IB Spanish 4 teacher. She kills animals while hunting in Africa every year. And after 6 years of having this knowledge…there’s photographic proof. Haha.

This picture makes up for all the suffering I had to deal with while in her class.

Last Day of 2011

Finishing up this tumblr challenge with this post.

Day 9: What are you looking forward to in 2012?

Refer to my last post. I’d like to see some of the things I hope for actually happen. Haha. Other than that, I’m looking forward to going back to Tech, spending more time with people, summer, etc, etc, all that. I’m kind of looking forward to finishing junior year and starting senior year…but at the same time, not really. Haha.

Day 8: Things you hope for in 2012.

I want a better year, but most of that involves improving myself. But if you want to get into specifics, I hope to…

Improve academically. Not just with my GPA, but also with all my academic habits. It’s a scary thought, but there’s only 3 more semesters left of undergrad. Even though I plan on going to grad school & having a career in the higher education field, I still have a lot of improving to do and I need to stop slacking with school. It’ll benefit me now, but also be really beneficial for the future.
Get more experience so that I’m better prepared for the future. I’m lucky to have experience with three different departments on campus, but it’s important that I keep networking and get as much training as possible.
Get an internship this summer (for reasons stated above) or at the very least, a job that pays a decent amount (for reasons stated below).
Save more money and put it toward things that are more important. I don’t spend on myself often, but given my financial situation, saving more money is always better.
Maintain healthier relationships. I’m getting to the point where I can say that I’m pretty satisfied with the role people play in my life, and I hope to keep these select few in my life.
Be a better person. There’s a few things I have in life that I don’t deserve, but they’re there anyway.
Take more action. This year there were too many things I wanted to but never got around to. Too many good ideas that I’ve never gone through with. Hopefully I won’t have as many missed opportunities.
Stay motivated & inspired.
